The Man-Made River Authority in Gharyan announced the resumption of water being pumped through the Tarhuna-Abu Zayan line, after a halt due to a fault in the electrical network.

The Authority added that the process of pumping water is continuing to fill the main reservoir of Abu Zayan.

The Tarhuna site was subjected to an electrical fault which resulted in the stopping of pumping for two days, and the closure of the city's internal network valve.
