The head of Libya's Presidential Council, Mohamed Menfi, received French Ambassador Mostafa Mihraje and his accompanying delegation at his office in Tripoli on Wednesday.
Menfi's media office said that the meeting "discussed the bilateral relations between the two countries and the developments of the presidential plan to reach the elections in 2023 through the economic and reconciliation paths, and the assessment of the security and military track."
The meeting comes a day after the meeting of the Defense and Security Council under the chairmanship of Menfi, in the presence of the Government of National Unity Prime Minister Abdulhamid Dabaiba and a number of officials, to discuss the security situation in the western region.
