Sudanese Armed Forces Commander Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan stated on Saturday in an interview with Al-Arabiya that he received a phone call from Marshal Khalifa Haftar in which he denied supporting the Rapid Support Forces (RSF). 

"Haftar called me personally and said that these allegations are intended to drive discord and strife between neighbors," he said.

The New York Times quoted US officials as saying that the RSF had obtained weapons provided by Haftar.

A CNN report published on Friday then claimed that the Wagner Group was supplying the RSF with missiles to aid their fight against the army. A claim that was “categorically rejected” by the RSF.

Al-Burhan noted in the interview, “So far, there has been no confirmation about the Wagner Group's support for the RSF.”
