The Libyan embassy in Italy revealed that it has formed a committee to go to the city of Naples to find out the circumstances of a video clip that has gone viral showing a Libyan citizen living on the streets of the city, while suffering from a behavioral disorder.

The embassy released a statement on Sunday saying it had received a number of messages from Libyan citizens regarding the video and  “Immediately, Ambassador Muhannad Younis formed a committee to review the situation of this citizen, find out the circumstances of his presence in the streets of the city, provide him with the necessary services and help him return to Libya if required.”

The young man appeared reading verses from the Holy Qur’an and standing in front of burning fires to keep warm, while an Algerian young man appeared in the video calling for the Libyan youth to be identified and rescued.
