The British Ambassador to Libya, Caroline Hurndall, confirmed her "full support" for the initiative put forward by U.N. envoy Abdoulaye Bathily regarding Libyan elections.

"Successful elections in Libya require broader political and community consensus on key issues, in addition to finalising laws." Hurndall said on her Twitter account.

The British ambassador urged "Libya’s leaders to engage constructively" with Bathily, adding "The UK stands in full support."
