Turkey's ambassador to Libya, Kenan Yilmaz, thanked the Libyan peopel and the authorities for their support and solidarity with his country and those affected by the devastating earthquake, on Sunday.
Yilmaz tweeted: "We thank the Libyan authorities, Libyan benefactors, and all Libyan people for their support and solidarity. Long live Turkey-Libya friendship."
The Turkish ambassador was present at Mitiga International Airport, where three planes loaded with aid took off, and he indicated that other aid had sailed to Turkey from Misrata sea port.
He revealed that the relief supplies are estimated at more than 250 tons, including health supplies, medical equipment, beds for patients, tents, generators, portable toilets, sleeping bags, blankets, heaters, foodstuffs, and clothes.
