The Government of Japan has announced a new contribution of $750,000 to the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) to improve access to climate-resilient water, sanitation and hygiene services in Libya.

The sum will enable UNICEF to reach 125,000 people across the country, including 50,000 children.

The 12-month program will be implemented in cooperation with the Government of National Unity, specifically the Ministries of Water Resources and Local Government.
