Libyan Parliament Speaker Aguila Saleh said that he had hoped that the Arab League would take over the solution to the Libyan crisis from its inception, attributing that this did not happen to “circumstances beyond our control and foreign interference.”

Saleh added in a press conference in Cairo on Monday, after his meeting with the Secretary-General of the Arab League: "The reality of what is happening in Libya has not reached the decision-makers in the world."

Earlier, sources informed Alwasat that Saleh and High Council of State leader Khaled Al-Mishri would discuss the constitutional basis and the names nominated by the two councils to fill some sovereign positions, during a meeting in Cairo on Monday.
