Government of National Unity Prime Minister Abdulhamid Dabaiba, said that his government “absolutely has no responsibility for any financial obligations arranged by the parallel government,” in reference to the parliament-appointed government headed by Fathi Bashagha.

Dabaiba warned in a circular circulated to ministers, heads of bodies, departments, agencies and public companies on Friday, that “any decisions or procedures issued" by Bashagha's government “that would prejudice public money and state capabilities or bring about change” are not considered legal for public institutions.
