Libyan Parliament Speaker Aguila Saleh called on members to attend an official session in Benghazi next Tuesday to complete the discussion of the unified salary law.

The invitation stated that the session will also discuss the draft law on internal security and the draft law on the Constitutional Court, according to spokesman Abdullah Bliheg.

On September 27, members voted to increase the minimum wage from 500 to 1,000 dinars, while the discussion of the remaining provisions of the unified salary law were not completed.

At the time, Saleh said that the minimum wage will apply to both the public and private sectors, indicating the possibility of continuing deliberations on the draft law for several sessions.
