The Director of Tobruk International Airport, Saad Jaballah, announced the suspension of work at the airport from today "until further notice" on Saturday.

Jaballah said that the suspension of work was due to what he described as the “deliberate marginalization” of the airport by the Airports Authority.

A well-informed source tells Alwasat that Jaballah held a meeting at Tobruk's Dar al-Salaam Hotel with local officials, during which he briefed them about the "marginalization" of the airport in terms of internal and external flights, as well as the ongoing maintenance.
