Interior Ministry discusses arrangements for reopening Japanese embassy in Tripoli

The Interior Ministry for Libya's Government of National Unity confirmed the discussion of security arrangements to reopen the Japanese Embassy in Tripoli.

The ministry said in a statement that the meeting dealt with security mechanisms and arrangements for reopening the embassy, ​​providing protection and placement of guards from the General Administration to protect diplomatic missions.

Charge d’ affaires of Japan to Libya, Masaki Amadera, previously expressed "his country's support for the choices of the Libyan people and their aspirations to cross this stage and move towards a future of peace and stability," noting the necessity of "achieving free and fair elections that reflect the will of the Libyan voter."
