A coast guard patrol rescued 20 migrants on a boat sailing towards European shores, northwest of Zuwara, according to a statement released by Libyan Naval Forces on Wednesday.

The patrol boat set off from the Zawia refinery point, after being equipped with the necessary capabilities for rescue and recovery operations.

In another operation, a seperate patrol, launched from the Marsa Dela coast guard and port security point, it was able to rescue a number of migrants with different African nationalities.
