Spanish Ambassador says a large number of his country's companies wish to return to Libya

The Spanish Ambassador to Libya, Javier García-Larrache, confirmed on Sunday, that a large number of his country's companies wish to return to Libya to practice their activities and resume stalled projects.

According to the Libyan News Agency, García-Larrache said that some Spanish companies such as Repsol had not left the country and that "other companies that want to return to work in Libya already or are in the process of doing so."

The ambassador stressed that "any progress in stability on the Libyan arena will help us a lot to cooperate in promoting this step," noting that his country's government is studying the return of these companies at the present time.

In mid-October, the Minister of Labor and Rehabilitation for the Government of National Unity, Ali Al-Rida, discussed cooperation in the field of training and rehabilitation with the García-Larrache.
