Government of National Unity Foreign Minister Najla Mangoush, invited her Kuwaiti counterpart, Sheikh Ahmed Nasser Al-Mohammed Al-Sabah, to participate in the international conference on the Libyan Stabilization Initiative, to be held in Tripoli at the end of October, “as a supportive partner for the political process in Libya,” according to a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The invitation came during a session of talks between Mangoush and Al-Sabah on Sunday, at the headquarters of the Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as part of a working visit to the State of Kuwait.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that Mangoush and Al-Sabah reviewed, during the session, the historical relations linking the two brotherly countries and peoples, and ways to develop them in all fields and at various levels, in addition to the latest developments in Libya, and the efforts made to strengthen the political process, leading to the election.

Mangoush expressed her gratitude and appreciation for Kuwait's support for the establishment of security and stability in Libya and the region, its encouragement of dialogue between Libyans, and its rejection of negative interference in Libya's internal affairs.

Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Al-Sabah reiterated his country's keenness during its presidency of the Arab League to work with its brothers from the Arab countries "to achieve a unified Arab balance to support Libya, by completing the transitional phase until elections around December 24,” according to a Libyan statement.
