Libyan National Army (LNA) General Command spokesman, Major General Ahmed Al-Mismari, said on Monday that units from the Sebha Military District dealt with "subversive elements" and managed to take control of their headquarters at one of the sports clubs in the city, noting that these groups are affiliated with the Presidential Council.

"The Sebha military area spotted the movements of subversive elements of the so-called Presidential Council and that in fact receives their orders from Turkish intelligence, which leads operations in support of the Muslim Brotherhood and Takfiri gangs," Al-Mismari said in a statement issued Monday evening.

"After receiving the information, it was confirmed that these elements received funds from Tripoli to destabilize the security and stability in southern Libya, especially the city of Sebha," Al-Mismari added.

Al-Masmari attached a video recording to the statement showing an "operation to secure the city of Sebha."
