The Minister of Foreign Affairs for Libya's Government of National Accord (GNA) Mohamed Siala, held a telephone conversation with the Kuwaiti Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ahmed Nasser Al-Sabah, during which they discussed "bilateral relations between the two countries and continuous coordination on issues of common concern."

A statement issued by the GNA Foreign Ministry on Sunday said that Siala also inquired on th health of the Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, wishing him good health and well-being, after a successful operation today.

The Kuwaiti Minister was briefed on the latest developments in the situation in Libya and wished the return of full stability and success for the political process in Libya, according to the statement.

The Minister of Amiri Diwan Affairs in Kuwait announced on Saturday, the issuance of an Emiri order, that Crown Prince Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, would exercise some of the emir’s constitutional powers, temporarily, due to the health status of the emir.
