The Libyan government media center announced the discovery of an ancient burial ground dating back to the second century in the Al-Dhahra area of Tripoli.

The discovery came during drilling operations carried out by the Libyan Construction Company, according to a statement released on Wednesday.

The media center also published images showing a number of archaeological pots dating back to the Roman era that were found at the site.
