The Attorney General's Office announced on Sunday evening the imprisonment of the financial controller at Government of National Unity's Ministry of Health on bribery charges.

The office explained in a statement that the prosecution conducted an investigation after a complaint filed by the Rada Force for Combating Terrorism and Organized Crime against the financial control office.

The investigations proved that the official received 40,000 dinars, $10,000 and a motor vehicle worth 195,000 dinars, in exchange for signing off on financial transactions.
