Libya's parliament-appointed government, headed by Osama Hammad, announced on Tuesday the completion of maintenance on four primary health care centers in the city of Derna, as part of the first phase of construction, modification and development work. It added that the second phase to maintain the remaining centers will begin in the coming days.

Minister of Health Othman Abdul Jalil conducted an inspection tour of the health facilities, accompanied by the directors of departments in the ministry, the Director General of Al-Wehda Therapeutic Teaching Hospital in Derna, the Director of the Department of Health Care Services in Derna and the company executing the maintenance work.

During his tour, Abdul Jalil stressed the importance of speeding up the completion of all work on schedule without any delays, taking into account the situation of city residents.

This comes after parliament-appointed Prime Minister Osama Hammad briefed Speaker of the House of Representatives Aguila Saleh on his government's plan to rebuild the city of Derna and the affected areas and the ongoing preparations for the International Conference on Reconstruction.
