The Police Sports Club organized a race on Saturday, with the participation of 340 competitors from various departments and agencies of the Ministry of Interior, on the airport road in the capital Tripoli, under the slogan “Police Sports Club Race for the Ministry of Interior,” in coordination and cooperation with the Libyan Athletics Federation.

The competition started from Bab Al-Azizia Roundabout and ended at the Ministry of Interior headquarters, covering a distance of 6 km. It witnessed fierce and enthusiastic competition between participants from various police departments.

Technical supervision and certified referees

The Libyan Athletics Federation provided technical supervision for the race, providing referees and track judges to ensure that the approved technical regulations were applied and that the event was organized to the highest standard.

20 competitors awarded valuable prizes

At the end of the race, 20 of the top competitors were honored with valuable prizes, with 12 competitors receiving Samsung LED TV's and eight others receiving complete sports bags.

The cross-country race title was won by Police College competitor Abdulmalik Osama Al-Zarouq, with the results as follows:

First place: Abdulmalik Osama Al-Zarouq – Gold Medal + TV

Second place: Ahmed Ali Amr – Silver Medal + TV

Third place: Moaz Juma Saleh – Bronze Medal + TV

Honoring the Libyan Athletics Federation

The awards ceremony saw the Libyan Athletics Federation honored with the Police Federation Shield in recognition of its effective contribution to the success of this sporting event.

In a statement to Alwasat, Major General Adnan Al-Treki, Chairman of the Police Union, confirmed that today's race is part of the Police Union's general program, which includes a number of individual and group sports activities, in addition to cultural and social programs.

Al-Treki pointed out that the Federation intends to organize sporting, cultural, and social activities during the days and nights of the holy month of Ramadan, in addition to participating in various sporting events, expressing his gratitude to all media outlets that covered the Police Federation's activities and contributed to its success.
