The Libyan Iron and Steel Company produced 70,000 tonnes of hot briquetted iron (HBI) in October for the first time in its history.

The company added that so far this year it has produced 476,200 tonnes of HBI, 95.2% of its total production in 2022, and an increase of 62.5% over 2021.

Earlier this year, the Libyan Iron and Steel Company signed an agreement with a number of foreign companies to export 72,000 tons of rebar to various countries of the world.
