Moroccan Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita announced the imminent reopening of the Moroccan consulates in Tripoli and Benghazi during his weekly government accountability session in Parliament.

The minister linked the reopening of the two consulates to the presence of a large number of Moroccans in Libya and it is likely to be in the upcomming summer.

Morocco recently hosted the meetings of the 6+6 Joint Committee mandated by the House of Representatives and the High Council of State to prepare electoral laws.
