Consultations between Lamamra and Mangoush on preparations for Arab League summit in Algeria

The Algerian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ramtane Lamamra, held consultations with his counterpart from Libya's Government of National Unity, Najla Mangoush, on the ongoing preparations for an Arab League summit scheduled for early November in Algeria.

During the meeting, Minister Lamamra emphasized "the efforts made by Algeria to complete the necessary preparations for a successful Arab summit that contributes to uniting Arab countries and enhancing their voice on the international scene, as well as their contribution to addressing the current global challenges."

The ministers also discussed prospects for reviving the path of a peaceful settlement to the Libyan crisis and the tireless efforts made by Algeria to support its brotherly neighbor in this regard, according to the statement of the Algerian Foreign Ministry.

On Monday, Mangoush chaired a consultative meeting of Arab foreign ministers on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
