The General Command of the Libyan National Army (LNA) announced the launch of an air bridge to transport relief shipments to Syria for victims of the devastating earthquake disaster that struck the northwestern regions of the country on Monday.

The Military Information Division of the General Command said in a statement that the air bridge and aid shipments were initiated after direct instructions from Commander Khalifa Haftar.

A video posted on the division's Facebook page showed food and relief items being loaded onto a cargo plane.
