The Protocol and Information Office, headed by the Chief of Staff of the Libyan Naval Forces, announced on Friday evening that Turkish naval forces rescued 17 migrants of different African nationalities northwest of the city of Misrata.

The office confirmed that the rescue operation took place on Thursday, in coordination and cooperation between Turkish Naval Forces and the Libyan Coast Guard for the Central Sector.

The migrants were returned and disembarked at Al-Khoms Naval Base.
