The Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad, congratulated Tunisian President Qais Said during his visit to Doha on Sunday on the success of the UN sponsored Libyan Dialogue Forum in Tunis.
Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad held extensive talks with Qais Said, who arrived in Doha on Saturday evening, on his first visit to Qatar since taking office last year.
According to The Qatar News Agency (QNA), the consultations discussed cooperation between the two countries and their prospects for development, the latest events in the international and regional arenas, especially Libya, as well as the development of political, economic, and investment relations.
Tunisian Minister of Foreign Affairs Othman Al-Jarandi said in remarks that the Libyan file was one of the main themes of the talks in the Qatari capital during the extended working session that brought together delegations of the two countries in the Emiri court, stressing that it is in everyone's interest to have stability in Libya.
