UN envoy Abdoulaye Bathily and UNRWA staff observed a minute of silence for 101 colleagues from the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) who have been killed in Gaza.
The United Nations flag was alos lowered in honor of their memory according to the mission.
The Al-Qahira news channel quoted UNRWA's spokesman saying that 101 UNRWA employees were among the victims of Israeli aggression, most of them in southern Gaza.
He pointed out that more than 780,000 Palestinians have been displaced inside the Gaza Strip, noting that 70% of Palestinians killed have been women and children.
