Government of National Unity Prime Minister Abdulhamid Dabaiba said that his government "supports holding elections according to fair, consensual, enforceable and uncomplicated laws that do not hinge on the success or exclusion of any party."

This came in his speech during the eighth cabinet meeting of the year in Tripoli on Thursday.

Dabaiba added: "The government's position is firm and has not and will not change from achieving the desire of the Libyan people to hold free and fair elections and renew the legitimacy of the legislative and executive authorities."
