Libyan Presidential Council leader Mohamed Menfi met on Thursday with th Special Representative of the Secretary-General (SRSG) and head of the UN Support Mission in Libya, Abdoulaye Bathily, to discuss developments surrounding the 6+6 Joint Committee to Prepare Electoral Laws.

During the meeting at the Presidential Council's office in Tripoli, Bathily also gave “a briefing on his meetings with the active Libyan parties on the priorities for the current stage", according to the council's media office.

The meeting comes after Bathily's 2-day visit to eastern Libya, where he met with Marshal Khalifa Haftar and Parliament Speaker Aguila Saleh.
