Libya Presidential Council leader Mohamed Menfi in his capacity as the Supreme Commander of the Army discussed the importance of strengthening the role of the military institution in maintaining security and extending state control, especially at border crossings, with Government of National Unity Chief of Staff, General Muhammad Al-Haddad.

The meeting held on Sunday also dealt with mechanisms for developing military action to enhance existing coordination between army sectors, according to a statement published by the Presidential Council's media office.

Menfi stressed the need to intensify military efforts, through all the country's land outlets, especially in light of the circumstances that some neighboring countries are going through.
