The Minister of the Interior for Libya's interim Government of National Unity, Imad Trabelsi, met with the head of the Public Security Agency in the eastern region, Lieutenant Colonel Ayman Al-Darsi, to discuss a number of security issues and mechanisms for joint security cooperation.

This came during a meeting held on Sunday, also attended by the head of the Office of Secret Affairs in the minister's office, Major General Abdel Wahed Abdel Samad, according to a statement published by the Interior Ministry.

The statement added that the meeting discussed a number of issues related to the workflow within the security apparatus and stations in the eastern region and how to improve the level of security performance for the safety of citizens.
