The French ambassador to Libya, Mostafa Mihraje, and his accompanying delegation began a visit to the city of Misrata on Tuesday, during which he was received by the mayor and members of the city's municipal council.

Misrata municipality said in a brief statement that the program for the visit includes meetings with economic institutions to discuss files of common interest.

Mihraje's visit to Misrata comes a day after a visit to the city of Zliten where he met with representatives of the city, private institutions and a number of civil society representatives.
