The Special Tasks Department of the General Department for Security Operations arrested 245 expatriate workers in Misrata, after receiving complaints of “thefts and disturbances by citizens.”

The media office of the Special Tasks Department said in a statement that its patrols raided housing for expatriate workers in the Karzaz area, in cooperation with the Anti-Illegal Immigration Agency and after obtaining permission from the Public Prosecution. It added that it received complaints of “thefts" and "behaviors that caused inconvenience to citizens through loud music, in addition to a lack of hygiene in the aforementioned housing and the surrounding area.

According to the statement, the raid resulted in the arrest of 245 workers of African nationalities, and that they were referred to the deportation office affiliated with the Anti-Illegal Immigration Agency in the city of Zliten.
