White House Coordinator for the Middle East and North Africa, Brett McGurk, praised the role of the National Oil Corporation (NOC) in achieving energy security in Libya and the region, as well as lifting force majeure and continuing oil and gas production and export operations, which greatly contributed to security and economic stability.
This came during his meeting with NOC Chairman Farhat Bengdara at the White House on Wednesday.
It is noteworthy that the meeting is part of a series of meetings held by Bengdara with US government officials on after attending the CERAWEEk energy conference in Houston, Texas last week.
