The General Electricity Company of Libya (GECOL) announced the arrival of new equipment and spare parts for the north Benghazi, South Tripoli, Misrata and Al-Khoms power stations.

The company added that the equipment was supplied by the US company General Electric (GE) and Germany's Siemens, according to a statement released on Friday.

It concluded that this equipment comes within the efforts to modernize power stations and conduct long-term maintenance of generation units to achieve the fullest production capacity and support the electricity network's stability.
