The Secretary-General of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), Haitham Al-Ghais, arrived in Tripoli on Tuesday evening, where he was received at Mitiga International Airport by the Minister of Oil and Gas Mohamed Oun.

The Ministry of Oil and Gas said on its Facebook page that Al-Ghais' visit to Tripoli comes "in response to Oun's invitation to discuss all issues facing the oil and gas sector, given Libya is one of the most important partners within the organization."
