Libyan Presidential Council leader, Mohamed Menfi, arrived in the city of Benghazi on Saturday to meet with Libyan Arab Armed Forces Commander, Marshal Khalifa Haftar, and a number of actors in the city.

The two parties a scheduled to discuss the completion of the electoral process.

Haftar has met a number of local and international officials since last week, including the Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General for Libya, Abdoulaye Bathily and Government of National Stability Prime Minister Fathi Bashagha.

Menfi also met with Haftar in Cairo in early January to discuss “strengthening truce efforts between the Libyan parties.”
