The Subul Al-Salam Brigade of the Libyan National Army announced the liberation of 120 migrants from a house in the town of Tazirbu, located in the Wahat region of southeastern Libya.

The brigade said in a statement that the operation came after receiving a tip about the presence of a large number of migrants in a house in the town.

The statement added that all the migrants were liberated and transferred to a safe place after they were “found in deplorable conditions,” noting that smugglers “tortured and blackmailed them in order to obtain money.”

The brigade stressed that the army is present in the southeast and continues to protect all cities and civilians and will strike anyone who intends to harm the security of the region.
