The US State Department said that Secretary Anthony Blinken will visit Cairo next Sunday and meet with President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to discuss regional issues, including the Libyan file.

Blinken will travel next week to Israel, the West Bank and Egypt where he will urge an end to violence after a deadly Israeli raid, the State Department said Thursday.

Blinken will hold talks with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi in Cairo on Sunday before going to Jerusalem and Ramallah on Monday and Tuesday to see Netanyahu and Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas, the State Department said.

Blinken will also discuss regional issues including Libya and Sudan during the meeting with President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, the State Department said.
