Saudi Arabia and Egypt have renewed their support for a Libyan led solution under UN auspices during a meeting between the countries' foreign ministers in Riyadh.
In a joint statement, Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry and his Saudi counterpart Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, affirmed the need to unify Libya’s institutions as an “important step” ahead of the long-delayed elections.
Both have also emphasized the need to” complete procedures regarding the adoption of electoral laws and executive procedures”.
Egypt and Saudi Arabia have also called for an end to foreign interventions and the exit of all foreign forces and mercenaries.
