The British Ambassador to Libya, Caroline Hurndall, affirmed her country's support for the efforts and initiatives by the Presidential Council to get out of the political impasse.
This came during a meeting with Presidential Council leader Mohamed Menfi on Wednesday, according to a statement released by his media office.
Hurndall praised the launching of the preparatory meeting for the national reconciliation conference, which was held under the auspices of the Presidential Council and the African Union, saying it will contribute to the holding of elections according to a consensual constitutional basis, the results of which are acceptable to all parties.
