Parliament agrees to prevent future extradition of any Libyan citizen

Parliament spokesman Abdullah Bliheg said that the session held in Benghazi on Monday ended with the prevention of the future extradition of any Libyan citizen by any party.

Bliheg added that the session headed by First Deputy Speaker  Fawzi Al-Nuwairi was devoted to discussing developments in the extradition of Abu Agila Masud to the United States.

Members also agreed on four points:

1- Selecting a parliamentary committee consisting of the Foreign Affairs Committee, the Legislative Committee, and the Justice Committee in the House of Representatives to follow up on the incident.

2 -Addressing the judicial authority to assign a legal team to defend Abu Agila Masud and follow up on the case.

3 -Call the Public Prosecutor to brief the House of Representatives on the extradition incident.

4- Prevent any future extradition of any Libyan citizen by any party.
