Libya's parliament-appointed Prime Minister, Fathi Bashagha, directed the completion of work on the rest of the units at the Tobruk steam power station, to contribute to improving the public electricity network. This came after he inspected the station and checked on the performance of the first unit that entered service recently, according to his government's media office.

Bashagha's directive came during his inspection tour in the city of Tobruk on Thursday, accompanied by his deputy, Ali Al-Qatrani, and a number of ministers.

Bashagha also inspected the progress of work at the city's water desalination plant, which has been suffering for years from malfunctions and needs urgent maintenance.

During his tour, Bashagha stressed his government's interest in improving the necessary services provided to citizens, such as health, education, water, and electricity.
