The Minister of State for Communication and Political Affairs in the Interim Government of National Unity, Walid Al-Lafi, received the Turkish Presidency's Communications Director, Fakhruddin Altun, who arrived in Tripoli on Thursday.

Altun’s visit comes “to participate in the opening of the work of the Tripoli Government Communication Forum, which is held as part of the closing activities of the Tripoli Media Capital 2022 celebration.”

On October 3, Al-Lafi and Altun signed a memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the field of media, which included: “Cooperation in exchanging visual content, combating false news and media disinformation, and encouraging raising the level of cooperation between the two countries’ news agencies”.
