Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias' plane landed at Benina International Airport in Benghazi on Thursday afternoon.

On Wednesday, the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement on the agenda of Dendias' visit to Libya, where he was scheduled to meet with Presidential Council leader Mohamed Menfi in Tripoli and then head to Benghazi, where he would hold talks with Parliament Speaker Aguila Saleh and other Libyan officials.

However, after arriving in Tripoli, Dendias decided not to get off the plane.

According to Greek reports, the meeting with Menfi was scheduled on the condition that no one else would attend.

As it turned out, however, Dendias was awaited by Government of National Unity Foreign Minister Najla Mangoush when arriving.

The Government of National Unity condemned Dendias' behavior, saying he "refused to get off his plane after it landed at Mitiga Airport", adding that it had given the minister its approval to visit Tripoli at his request, and added that Minister Najla Mangoush was awaiting him, "but he refused to get off his plane."
