The head of Libya's parliament-appointed government, Fathi Bashagha, held a discussion with the French ambassador to Libya, Mostafa Mihraje, on the developments in the political and economic situation in Libya.

This came during a meeting in the city of Benghazi on Wednesday.

The two sides also discussed the efforts of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya and ways to support Special Representative Aboulaye Bathily's efforts to unify sovereign institutions.

The meeting was attended by Foreign Minister Hafez Gaddur and Minister of State for Prime Minister and Cabinet Affairs Muhammad Farhat.
