Government National Unity Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, Abdulhamid Dabaiba, supervised the tactical exercise "Hurricane 1", being carried out by the 53rd Independent Infantry Brigade, in the presence of his government's Chief of General Staff and the participation of 30 military units.

The tactical exercise was attended by the Italian, Turkish and Sudanese military attaches, along with the chiefs of specialized staff in the Government of National Unity.

In his speech to the participants, Dabaiba stressed that “the Libyan army will always be loyal to the homeland and not to tribes, cities or individuals,” stressing that he is “proud of this tactical exercise that has not been carried out since 2007, and which was distinguished by its preparation and implementation on the correct foundations and rules in place and with high-level efficiency.”

Dabaiba then held an expanded meeting that included all the military leaders participating in the exercise, to discuss “a number of important military issues.”
