Parliament holds closed session to discuss Internal Security Agency draft law

Parliament Spokesman Abdullah Bliheg announced on Tuesday, that the live broadcast of the parliament session was cut off and moved to closed to discuss the Internal Security Agency draft law.

Blehig said in a brief statement on his Facebook page that this came after the completion of the discussion of the unified salary bill.

Earlier, Parliament Speaker Aguila Saleh announced that observations regarding the unified salary bill would be referred to the legislative and financial committees, provided that they respond to parliament before the end of October.

During his speech on Tuesday, Saleh said that the observations of parliament members during the session focused on the need for the increase in salaries to be accompanied by a similar increase in the salaries of retirees, in proportion and degree, as well as setting the minimum wage of a 1,000 dinars.
