Al-Lafi discusses political and economic files with the Japanese Chargé d'Affairs

Libyan Presidential Council Deputy Abdullah Al-Lafi, discussed a number of political and economic files with the Chargé d'Affairs of the Japanese Embassy in Libya, Masaki Amadera, according to a statement by the Presidential Council on Facebook.

The statement quoted the Japanese diplomat as expressing his happiness about the imminent completion of the logistical arrangements necessary to resume his work from Tripoli during the coming period, praising at the same time "the efforts of the Presidential Council in the file of national reconciliation, maintaining the political track, and enhancing the stability of the country under difficult political conditions."

Al-Lafi and Amadera discussed the developments in the political situation in Libya, and bilateral relations between the two countries, especially in the field of economy, technology and education, given Japan's pioneering experience in these areas.

Al-Lafi also affirmed the Presidential Council's keenness to make the national reconciliation project a success, by "addressing the roots of the political conflict, by benefiting from local and international experiences, including Japan."
